Professional Tips

Did you know that a tiered cake has a thin board of cardboard in between each tier? This is to balance the weigh of the cake so it doesn't collapse within itself.

When slicing a tired cake do not think you will be able to go through all the tiers, you are going to look silly pushing that knives through carboard.

For picture purposes only slice one small pic from the top tier.

For cutting slices to serve, you will first need to take each tear off each other, then slice each tier accordingly. If you have a caterer, they will take care of that!
