I remember for about a month now and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised and how this place is run. Instructors really do care about the students and how they learn and grasp the information. The students are very welcoming to new students. Overall it's like a big family working well together synergistically. Would definitely recommend to anyone serious about training.

Another day another lessened learned I have no preferred instructor that’s one of the best things about this school is that all instructors make class fun and all instructors take the time break it down slow if they have to for each students benefit every instructor gives equal level of instruction and they make it more then instructions they teach you fundamentals the skills and the philosophy of the art with out asking you to compromise your own personality to match the teaching rather they allow you to bring your personality your personal experience to the lesson just come with an open mind be open to more then just the martial arts teachings I love it here and don’t think I could train anywhere else NYMAA for life

I was researching and looking into several martial arts schools and styles pre-pandemic and after the pandemic a lot of those schools no longer are around ny martial arts academy is one of the longest running schools around the martial art was invented by Bruce Lee himself it's widely practiced very practical and efficien. The staff and instructor are top tier they know what their doing and how to teach it well and the classes are all good work outs as a bonus. Been here for 2 months love it so love the enrichment, the structure, and the environment 100% recommended if your serious about martial arts.

The training was on point, but I've never trained somewhere that doesn't have a water fountain. I have to drink from a sink during training or shell out a $1 for a bottle of water. I'm training to be like water, and i'd like some too

About Us
NY Martial Arts Academy was the first school in the tri-state area to be recognized by the Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Nucleus (an organization established to preserve and perpetuate the art that Bruce Lee developed).
This organization consisted of Bruce Lee's wife, daughter, first generation, and second generation students. This organization and our school have a common purpose to promote the art, science, and philosophy of the founder of JKD (Bruce Lee). We are one of the only schools on the East Coast to teach Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do.
This is also an academy that will teach you the different aspects of Jeet Kune Do (mind, body, and spirit). You will also develop friendships and a common respect for your fellow martial artists.
