I love deserts...especially if it contains chocolate!
And I love pasta...and with any white sauce puts me in another world!
Most of all...I LOVE LOVE LOVE Italian sausage pizza with a super cold cherry Pepsi!
But sadly, these things don't love me. (hear my heavy sigh)
Over the years, I have learned the things that are good for me and in fact I have learned to love them. Like brussel sprouts, blackberries, squash and believe it or not...water, sleep and Pilates.
After incorporating the "good-for-me" things into my life, I witnessed the benefits such as how my body has changed, how my energy level has improved, I notice how my mind is much more clear these days and my resiliency has exponentially increased! My clothes fit differently, my range of motion has increased and my day to day pain levels have diminished dramatically.
I'm curious, do you know what your "good-for-me" things are? What small shifts could you make in your life to improve your quality of life?
Since we have reopened the studio, I've noticed a shift in our students joining us in person. The impact of practicing in a group has been uplifting for students (and teachers) and has reduced the feeling of isolation and helping people been seen. It has also pulled them out of their own environment full of distractions and put them in a low stress relaxing place where they can fully embody their yoga practice in a cozy and nurtured way.
For some, practicing virtually fits their schedule better or they the travel would not be possible. I totally get that. But for others that may feel timid about joining a group class, or maybe embarrassed about their practice or their body, I encourage you to try something that we think will be good for you and join us in person. Yes, it will be hard....but we are gonna do hard things anyway...why not do something that is also GOOD FOR YOU!
I look forward to seeing you on the mat and holding space for you in those hard moments as they will make us so much stronger together!
With so much Love and Grace,
Jenny💗
