Hi ! If you’re like me, there are times when you feel like things in life are out of balance. Maybe you're even feeing it today. If this rings true for you, I wanted to share some of my go-to tips for finding balance in life. While I certainly don’t have it all figured out, these are my go-to ways to get back on track when I feel a little off. My Tips On Finding Balance In Life - Plan your work; work your plan. Have you ever had one of those days where you feel as if you are spinning your wheels, so busy and then realize that you didn't get much done? Sometimes it's as simple as not have a plan or a schedule set up. Every Sunday night I take out my calendar and put all my appointments in (both professional and personal). Then I can see where I have free blocks of time and that is where I plan or schedule things such as phone calls, errands and yes, even my own personal yoga practice.
- Take some time for yourself (even scheduling into your calendar, if you have to). Go back to that calendar in Tip #1. Is your calendar full of work obligations? Or maybe the kids have tons of activities. Be sure to block off some time for you. It doesn't have to be huge blocks of time either. Sometime all you need is 20 minutes where you turn off your phone and enjoy a cup of coffee to help you regroup.
- Keep at least three of your favorite take-out places on speed dial. No. This isn't a joke. I'm totally serious! Sometimes you just don't have time or the desire to cook dinner. It's perfectly OK to pick up some take-out once in a while. Think of all the things you could accomplish during "meal prep" time that can help you achieve some balance.
