'Tis the season...
...for being busy!!!!! 😜
I’ve heard from so many yogis recently, who say they want to practice every day, but they can't seem to find the time…
Why? Because we're all so busy between work, holiday shopping, menu planning and just gathering with friends and family.
Life is busy!!!!!!
And, boy, do I get it! Like so many of you, I wear many hats! I'm a small business owner. I work at a full-time job. I help care for my father and manage all of his affairs. And let's not forget my awesome husband, Chris, our three fish tanks and two hamsters!
Here’s what I do know though.
A strong, consistent home practice is not simply a luxury for "when I have time" but is an absolute necessity if I want to stay balanced, focused and on-track.
For me, I know how powerful having a consistent yoga practice in my life is, and if I want to keep receiving the life-changing benefits it has to offer, then a home practice is a must!
There is a term we often use in yoga, “tapas”, which means self-discipline , and it refers to a fiery focus on achieving one’s goals. It’s coming to your yoga mat when you would rather watch TV; it’s working through your lunch break to do the best you can on a presentation; and it’s holding back when you want to quickly fire off in anger. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it.
