Did you know that being happy is a choice? Many people have an idea of what a "happy" life should look like. More often than not, happiness can be seen as something to attain, a goal to achieve: "When I have more money...." "When I meet the right partner...." "When I get a new job..." "When the weekend comes..." ....then I will be happy. Putting these conditions on our happiness, can lead us to overlook that the happiness we seek may already be there within us. Happiness is a choice. Even the ancient Greeks recognized that happiness is all about the quality of your thoughts, not that your life is problem free (we all know a problem-free life simply does not exist). Joy can be anywhere at any time. Donβt limit yourself to searching for pleasure. Enjoy everything and anything that makes you happy. As we come to the final half of our 2021 Beach Yoga season, and the summer, there can be a tendency to feel a bit of melancholy. But how about we focus instead on finding joy in the sounds and sights of the beach and being grateful for that?
