Hi ! Usually at this time of year, I like to stress that it's November -- Thanksgiving's month! And I lament how we tend to go from Halloween straight to Christmas which makes me kind of sad because I'm a total Thanksgiving girl. I love to cook and one of my favorite things to do is just hang out with friends and family over food. But this year, a different image starting popping up on my all my social media feeds: "No"vember... A time to practice saying no to people, place and thangs that drain your energy. (And a time to say yes! to the things that light you up.)"
And let me tell you... I really FELT that quote! So many times we do things, go places, and even surround ourselves with people that can leave us feeling drained and we don't do enough to surround ourselves with the things and people who do energize us. And it doesn't have to be anything major or life-changing. Last month I signed up for a small part in Positions Dance Studio's production of The Nutcracker. I forgot how much fun I have rehearsing, dancing and preforming on a stage. Making these conscious choices for you life is the subject of this month's Book Club choice: Stop Living on Autopilot by Antonio Neves.
